The AAP is hosting a day of literary delights for librarians from across the eastern seaboard. Please join us for lunch and an exclusive sneak peek into the new book releases for Winter 2012! We'll be there with 12 other stellar publishers talking about big books, gems, cross-over titles, and our personal favorites coming out of Macmillan early next year. There will be foodstuffs, goodies, and games... get in on this!

The AAP (Association of American Publishers) and Library Journal bring you the 6th annual swanky dinner event for adult librarians complete with authors, galleys, and delicious food!

Mark Shriver, author of A GOOD MAN: Rediscovering My Father, Sargent Shriver, will be speaking at the dinner. You can get a preview of his speaking voice by listening to him record the beginning of his audiobook here.

Macmillan Library is Buzzing Like Aldrin

Hello, my dear librarian friends! I'm back from Chicago! Did you miss me?? I thought so.

Yesterday I got to talk up some of our most exciting forthcoming Spring and Fall titles, most of which I presented during the Library Journal Spring Adult Book Buzz (which is now archived and accessible via registration here). All of the Chicagoan librarians I met were absolutely wonderful and excellent lunch time conversationalists. Thanks to everyone who made it out!

I needed some souvenirs so I stole all of the historic telescopes on display at the Adler Planetarium and I also found this kooky bean thing that someone left in Millennium Park. Call me if it's yours and you want it back.
