*THIS OFFER HAS EXPIRED*
Guys, it feels so good to see more and more librarians making the trip to join us for BookExpo. You guys make the bizarre and epic journey out to the Javits Center (in the humidity! and the rain! and in corporate casual!) totally worth our while. Thank you!
However, there were so many wonderful librarians–some we know and some we have yet to meet–that didn't make it out this year! We were bummed we didn't get to see you, but we know it's not possible for every library to send librarians to BEA (whoa, what a party that would be!).
With that in mind we want to make sure your library doesn't miss out on any of the wonderful galleys that Macmillan gave away at the conference. We would like to offer you access to e-galleys for almost all of the books we gave away in the booth at BEA. That includes...
MR. PENUMBRA'S 24-HOUR BOOKSTORE by Robin Sloan
THE FORGETTING TREE by Tatjana Soli
THE OTHER WOMAN by Hank Phillippi Ryan
CROSSTOWN TO OBLIVION by Walter Mosely (on Kirkus Reviews' BEA not-to-miss list)
DEATH AND THE GIRL NEXT DOOR by Darynda Jones
...and many more.
Head over to Edelweiss now to browse our list: BEA Macmillan Give Away Digital Review Copies. Please note: this link expires June 13th!
Use access code BEA12 to download the galleys (major bonus points if you feel like a spy and/or hacker!). And please, please share this list and access code with the other librarians in your system.
Also, while you're in Edelweiss feel free to browse our other catalogs for Fall 2012.
UPDATE: We sent out all of our galleys. Keep an eye out for the next giveaway!

THE CHRISTMAS NOTE

UPDATE: We have sent out all of our IAGO galleys. Enjoy!
We just opened up a box of haunting IAGO galleys and we want you to have one!
David Snodin, British screenwriter/producer and now author, has created an unforgettable adventure beginning where Shakespeare's OTHELLO leaves off.
Wounded in love, tormented by his past, Shakespeare's most complex villain is brought magnificently to life in this tale of two adversaries—one an accused killer; the other, one of the most powerful men in Venice.
Having escaped from Cyprus, accused of the murders of the governor, known as the Moor, and his lovely young wife, Iago is now locked in battle with Annibale Malipiero, known as Il Terribile, the chief inquisitor of Italy's greatest city.
Listen to a clip of Snodin discussing writing IAGO on the book page (duration: 6 minutes).
If you would like a galley of IAGO please send your name, your library, and your full mailing address to Library @ MacmillanUSA.com (subject: IAGO). Galleys will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis until we run out, so if you're interested contact us now!
[UPDATE]: I have sent out all of the galleys of SUMMER RENTAL that we had available. Thanks and enjoy!
The weather has finally taken a turn for the sunny here in NYC and it's time we all started thinking about swimsuits and sand.
I have a stack of galleys on my desk of Mary Kay Andrews' latest, SUMMER RENTAL, that need to find rides to the beach, ASAP. If you're an Andrews fan, or just looking for a book to keep you company in the sun, then shoot us an email with your name, library, and full mailing address and we'll send you a copy! Send requests to: Library @ MacmillanUSA.com
Library Journal highlighted SUMMER RENTAL in their "Women's Summer Fiction" section and gave it a big orange star. Their review reads, "Andrews (THE FIXER-UPPER) is at her warm and funny best with this story of three girlfriends who rent a beach cottage on North Carolina’s Outer Banks. A month of fun, frolicking, romance, and self-discovery ensues, while the arrival of a fourth roommate ratchets up the drama. Andrews simply excels at creating the kind of characters readers can relate to, and she has a fabulous sense of humor to boot. For all women’s fiction fans, especially those who enjoy ensemble fiction."
Publishers Weekly says, "This warm weather treat has a lot going for it, not least the sunny forecast that summer love can blossom into a four-season commitment."
