THE LAST HOPE is the thrilling conclusion to the duology that began with THE RAGING ONES. If you need a refresher on the first book, here ya go!

The last time we saw Franny, Mykal, and Court, they were trapped on an enemy starcraft and [SPOILER ALERT] had just found out that they were humans. THE LAST HOPE picks up shortly thereafter as our trio embarks on a dangerous mission to save humanity.

Franny, Mykal and Court are still sharing feelings—both emotional and physical—but don’t understand why or how. In exchange for information about their bond, they agree to help mysterious stranger Stork Kickfall in finding an elusive baby they’ve only ever read about. According to the legend, this baby has the ability to cloak and teleport entire planets. If they succeed in finding her, she will hide Earth from its enemies and stop the war. If they fail, humanity will disappear. NO PRESSURE.

I loved spending time with Court, Mykal, and Franny. Their relationship is complicated, but they would do anything for each other. THE LAST HOPE is told from the POVs of all three, which means truly getting to know each character individually. Inquisitive and unapologetic Franny might just be my favorite of the three.

And the Ritchie sisters are plot twist masters with well-timed reveals that had me hooked. And that ending! All the feelings! This duology is thrilling, romantic, and perfect for fans of Susan Dennard’s WINDWITCH and Sarah Porter’s VASSA IN THE NIGHT.

Happy reading!
<3 Emily
