Years ago, Lo Denham was in a car accident that killed her parents and left her physically and emotionally scarred. Her sister Bea was the only person she had left. That is, until Bea leaves Lo in the hospital and joins The Unity Project. Known for their community outreach and charity, The Unity Project and its leader, Lev Warren, have a good reputation in Upstate New York, but they keep their secrets buried deep, and Lo is determined to uncover every last one.

Now, six years later, Loan aspiring journalist is desperate to find Bea and to expose the The Unity Project as a cult. But as Lo digs deeper, she starts to question everything she knows. Through dual timelines and perspectives, we follow as Lo and Bea are further entangled in The Unity Project, and as their sisterly bond is put to the test.

THE PROJECT is a masterpiece. It’s a well-known fact that Courtney Summers repeatedly breaks the hearts of her readers in a special way that keeps us coming back for more, and THE PROJECT is no exception. I was completely immersed in the story, desperate to know more about both sisters and the cult that captivated them. The mystery is propulsive, the characters are beautifully and terribly human, and the ending will destroy you.

“A gripping, flawless psychological thriller ready to leave readers shattered.”
