Books with libraries

We absolutely love a book that’s set in a library, and today we have two: one where a woman becomes trapped in her hometown library with a group of her students and another in which a woman tries to uncover who her father really is in the context of his experience in WWII.

THE PARLIAMENT BY AIMEE POKWATKA

Available for download on Edelweiss know more. LibraryReads votes due by December 1st.

“Pokwatka tucks a Maurice Sendak fairy tale into a nature-attacks horror novel when she traps chemist Madigan Purdy in a library with a group of tweens… Must-read fantasy for readers who appreciate the catharsis of horror.”–Library Journal, starred review

LIBRARY FOR THE WAR-WOUNDED BY MONIKA HELFER

Available for download on Edelweiss know more. LibraryReads votes due by December 1st.

“Helfer’s introspective remembrances of her childhood, complete with anecdotal narratives of her relatives and glimpses of the love shared by her parents, breathe life into the characters’ simple moments of joy amid times of hardship. Helfer’s fans will appreciate her searching perspective on her father.”–Publishers Weekly
