YA spotlight collage

We wished a happy book b-day to four YA titles this week including a historical gothic paranormal romance with a queer love triangle, a coming-of-age queer romance based on a trailblazing pop star’s hit song, the final installment to a favorite action-packed fantasy series, and Katmere Academy’s star students taking on life after graduation.

THE ALCHEMY OF MOONLIGHT by David Ferraro

“Packed with compulsively readable, nonstop action, this is an affectionate homage to THE MYSTERIES OF UDOLPHO, eighteenth-century novelist Ann Radcliffe’s pioneering horror novel. Ferraro expands upon the original to include a suspense-filled, double-barreled gay love story with a twist. Radcliffe would be pleased (probably). .”–Booklist, starred review

GIRLS LIKE GIRLS by Hayley Kiyoko

“Musician Kiyoko crafts a pitch-perfect tale about a grieving teen in 2006 grappling with first love in this touching debut, inspired by the viral music video of the same name.”–Publishers Weekly

EARTH CALLED: Tales of a New World by P.C. Cast

In this last installment of the Tales of a New World series, love and goodness are put to the ultimate test as gods, humans, and animals come together to save everything they hold dear.

CHERISH by Tracy Wolff

Grace’s adventure continues outside of Katmere Academy after she and her friends have graduated and must travel to the Shadow Realm to rescue one of their own, jump around obstacles at every corner, and survive a betrayal that could destroy them all.
