THE IN-BETWEEN by Barbara Stewart

"This may be Stewart’s first novel, but she exhibits a practiced skill, keeping events ambiguous enough to have readers guessing throughout... A most intriguing book and debut." – Kirkus Reviews, starred review

In the second installment in the Social Code series, twin college students Amelia and Adam are riding high on the successful launch of their new company–until they start to disagree about how to sustain the momentum to keep making it in the competitive world of Silicon Valley.

ROOKIE YEARBOOK TWO: The Awesomeness Continues

ROOKIE YEARBOOK TWO: The Awesomeness Continues

We're totally in awe of Tavi Gevinson. When she was 14 she founded RookieMag.com, an independent online magazine made by and for teenage girls. Full of personal essays, advice about style, sex, friends and school, gorgeous photo albums (lots of fashion, natch), it's no wonder that it hit one million page views just six days after its debut! Since then, Rookie's contributors and interviewees have grown to include prominent popular culture fixtures such as Joss Whedon, Miranda July, Jon Hamm, Zooey Deschanel, David Sedaris, John Waters, Dan Savage, and Ira Glass, to name a few. No wonder Rookie now averages 1.2 million visits per month (and counting) and has 205,000 Tumblr followers!

Rookie Yearbook OneLast year's ROOKIE YEARBOOK ONE is like a greatest hits album full of amazing stuff—honest articles, fashion shoot photos, and glittery teen world gems (ie: stickers!). There was so much awesomeness that clearly another book needed to be made.

Enter ROOKIE YEARBOOK TWO, available now from Drawn & Quarterly. This sophomore collection is just stunning as the first, and filled with even more exclusive content, such as contributions from Judy Blume, Lena Dunham, Mindy Kaling, Morrisey, Emma Watson, Molly Ringwald, Carrie Brownstein, and astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. Of course, there's also more advice, tons of pics, and lots of humor and pathos. In other words, everything a teenage girl thinks and cares about.

The Rookie yearbooks are perfect for your teen readers, and for parents and adults who want to understand more about young adults today. We wish Rookie had been around when we were teenagers!

Vampires + Dystopia + Paranormal = Good Teen Reads!

Vampires + Dystopia + Paranormal = Good Teen Reads!

Can't get enough of vampires, dystopian societies, or paranormal romances? Great! We've got three teen titles that are perfect for you:

REVEALED by P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast
House of Night fans will be chomping at the bit to get the spellbinding eleventh and penultimate installment in the #1 New York Times bestselling vampire series. The action is more intense and the stakes even higher as Zoey and her friends battle to protect their school and home from devastating evil—all while balancing romances, precarious friendships and the daily drama of the House of Night's halls.

MIDNIGHT CITY by J. Barton Mitchell
LORD OF THE FLIES meets WAR OF THE WORLDS in Mitchell's breathtaking first book of the Conquered Earth series. Earth has been conquered by an alien race known as the Assembly. They keep humans subservient with a powerful, telepathic super-signal broadcast—except it doesn't affect anyone under age twenty, which makes children and teens the only resistant group left to fight. "Mitchell's prose debut, the first in a dystopian sci-fantasy series, is an imaginative mix of danger and humor... The action will keep readers turning the pages." — Kirkus Reviews

DEATH AND THE GIRL HE LOVES by Darynda Jones
In the third book in Jones's young adult series, Lorelei McAllister leaves the sanctity of her hometown for a boarding school in order to save her friends from certain doom. But even there she's being watched and must face the fact that people want her dead. Good thing she's got the handsome Angel of Death and a ragtag group of loyal supporters to help protect her.

All Our Pretty Songs for Your Library

All Our Pretty Songs for Your Library

This is a story about love, but not the kind of love you think. You'll see.

We want to make sure that Sarah McCarry's lush and curious debut, ALL OUR PRETTY SONGS, is available in your library so we're hosting a giveaway to get it there!

We have twenty finished copies of this incredible teen title to be shelved at libraries across the country. See details on how to win a copy for your library below.

First, a letter from the author:

Dear librarians,

"This is a story about love, but not the kind of love you think. You'll see." ALL OUR PRETTY SONGS is a grunge remix of the Orpheus and Eurydice story, set in 1990s Seattle and full of myth, mystery, and the unbreakable bonds of friendship--and love. As someone who spent most of my childhood in libraries, it's an honor and a delight to think of my own book reaching a new generation of readers. Librarians are some of my very favorite people--I hope you and your patrons enjoy ALL OUR PRETTY SONGS.

Best,
Sarah

ALL OUR PRETTY SONGS is about two best friends who drink, smoke, mosh, and take care of one another in a wild, post-grunge Seattle where nothing could tear them apart—that is, until the strange summer night that they meet Jack and Minos. Much to her surprise the narrator falls in love for the first time with heavenly guitarist Jack and in her enchanted state doesn't see that her best friend Aurora has become deeply entangled with the toxic and bizarre Minos. When Minos lures Aurora into the underworld with promises of fulfilling her deepest desires, the narrator sets out on a journey to find and retrieve her closest friend.

"Haunting, otherworldly and heartbreaking." —Kirkus Reviews (starred review)

"Goths and romantics both will eagerly await the second installment of this suspenseful planned trilogy to find out what becomes of the girls, Jack, and the other well-drawn players in this magic-tinged cast." —Booklist (starred review)
