Today marks the 10 year anniversary of our founding! A lot has happened in the last decade:
– A spunky young lady named Talia starts the department!
– Tom Perrotta keynotes ALA Midwinter in Boston. We sponsor Library Journal’s pre-BEA Day of Dialog for the first time! Macmillan Library moves to the Flatiron Building.
– Elie Wiesel keynotes PLA.
– We bus librarians from PA & CT to BEA and load them up with ARCs! We host the first ever librarian-only author breakfast!
– Talia is chosen as one of Publishers Weekly’s 50 Under 40 & joins Twitter!
– Lisa Scottoline keynotes the Gala Author Tea at ALA Annual! Ben Rubinstein joins the department, bringing awesome tattoos.
– Talia is chosen as a Library Journal Mover & Shaker and moderates her first ever panel of mystery writers during PLA! Kristin Hannah keynotes the PLA breakfast event & Will Shortz keynotes at ALA Annual!
– Nevada Barr keynotes the Gala Author Tea at ALA Annual! Ali Fisher joins the department, bringing her trademark sense of humor and a love of sci-fi.
– Jane Green keynotes the Gala Author Tea at ALA Annual! Talia moves to North Carolina (sniffle) but visits NYC often (yay!).
– Macmillan Library has the #1 pick on the inaugural LibraryReads list, FANGIRL by Rainbow Rowell! Anne Spieth joins the department and brings cookies. Literally.
