LibraryReads: New Voting Deadlines!

LibraryReads is moving the voting deadlines for each monthly list to the 20th of the month two months prior to publication.

For example, nominations for the February 2015 LibraryReads list (featuring titles with on sale/publication dates in February 2015), are due on December 20, not January 1.

Still confused? Don’t worry, we did the math for you:

Nominations for January 2015 LibraryReads list titles (this includes December 2014 AND January 2015 titles) are due November 20, 2014
Nominations for February 2015 LibraryReads list titles are due December 20, 2014
Nominations for March 2015 LibraryReads list titles are due January 20, 2015
Nominations for April 2015 LibraryReads list titles are due February 20, 2015
Nominations for May 2015 LibraryReads list titles are due March 20, 2015
Nominations for June 2015 LibraryReads list titles are due April 20, 2015
Nominations for July 2015 LibraryReads list titles are due May 20, 2015

2013 Goodreads Choice Awards

Goodreads choice awardGoodreads launched their annual Choice Awards this week and we're very proud to say that Macmillan has 20 nominees in the Opening Round! Click here to vote for your favorites (we know you've got plenty on this list) and we'll provide updates as the tournament progresses.

Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About LibraryReads

LibraryReads logoLibraryReads is a program which harnesses the value of "library staff picks" into a single nation-wide discovery tool, a monthly list of ten newly released must-reads.

The goal of LibraryReads is to help connect books to as many readers as possible and showcase the incredible power that public library staff has in helping to building word-of-mouth for new books and creating audiences for all kinds of authors.

Any Public Library Staff Member Can Vote for Books via Edelweiss and NetGalley! Both services are free for librarians to register and use. 

As a librarian, you can also get pre-approved to have access to all Macmillan galleys! For more information on how to get whitelisted, read this article.

Read in any format you like–paper or digital–but please submit all your reviews electronically, via Edelweiss or NetGalley.
