LOVE WARRIOR is an Oprah Book Club Pick!

Fantastic news: LOVE WARRIOR by Glennon Doyle Melton is the new Oprah Book Club pick!

This astonishing memoir depicts Melton’s journey after she discovers her husband’s infidelity and uses her grief and anger as a path to her own redemption. LOVE WARRIOR captures the beauty that unfolds when one woman refuses to settle for good enough, stops numbing or denying her pain, and makes her own rules for love and life. Harpo Films has optioned the film and television rights to the book.

“To have Oprah Winfrey — the woman who taught the world not to fear raw, intimate discussions – help introduce LOVE WARRIOR to the world feels like magic to me,” said Glennon Doyle Melton. “I trust Oprah, and I’m honored.”

Watch the video announcement from Oprah:

The cross-platform book club selection kicks off with Oprah’s interview with Melton in the October issue of O, The Oprah Magazine (on sale September 13). Oprah.com will feature a reading guide as well as Oprah’s personal thoughts about the book, and the official Oprah’s Book Club group on Goodreads, will feature content and encourage discussions about the new book club selection.

Glennon appeared on “CBS This Morning” today and the pick got media pick-up in USA Today, the Los Angeles Times, and the Chicago Tribune. She’ll appear on OWN’s “Super Soul Sunday” on 9/11, then do a Facebook Live chat with Oprah immediately after the show.

#BookBday Bonus: WHAT I KNOW FOR SURE

It gives us great pride to wish a Happy #BookBday to Flatiron Books’s very first publication: WHAT I KNOW FOR SURE by Oprah Winfrey!

After film critic Gene Siskel asked her, “What do you know for sure?” Oprah Winfrey began writing the “What I Know For Sure” monthly column in O, The Oprah Magazine. Now, for the first time, these thoughtful gems have been revised, updated, and collected in a beautiful keepsake book. Organized by theme—joy, resilience, connection, gratitude, possibility, awe, clarity, and power—these essays offer a rare and powerful glimpse into the mind of one of the world’s most extraordinary women.

If you think that’s pretty great, then you’ll love the audiobook, narrated by the Queen of Media herself! Click here to listen to an excerpt.

Expect major media attention from Redbook, Elle Magazine, Marie Claire, Parade, USA Today, Woman’s Day, the Boston Globe, New York Daily News, and of course, Oprah.com.
