Audiobooks have grown so popular that the New York Times created dedicated Fiction and Nonfiction audio bestseller lists! Here (or should we say, hear, haha) are some of our picks:

Fiction
THE GREAT ALONE by Kristin Hannah, read by Julia Whelan
THE WIFE BETWEEN US by Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen, read by Julia Whelan
(MISTBORN) THE FINAL EMPIRE by Brandon Sanderson, read by Michael Kramer

Nonfiction
A HIGHER LOYALTY by James Comey, read by the author
EXTREME OWNERSHIP by Jocko Willink & Leif Babin, read by the authors
FIRE AND FURY by Michael Wolff, read by the author

The Gray Lady also recommends THE SUN DOES SHINE by Anthony Ray Hinton, read by Kevin R. Free as part of their “Audiobooks for Those Long Summer Drives, Without the Kids” feature.

Ideal listener: Anyone interested in wrongful incarceration and racial justice.
Ideal trip: To Montgomery, Ala., to see the new National Memorial for Peace and Justice.
“The actor Kevin R. Free performs this work with flashes of anger cast over a deep humility, and captures the sense of humor that Hinton was, incredibly, able to hold on to during his long years in solitary confinement   his affability could get even prison guards to smile. This is a story that enrages and inspires.”

Plus, it has the Ideal Evangelist: Oprah!
